This Saturday I will be playing an acoustic solo set at Go Go's in Muskegon, MI. Go go's is located on Hoyt St. This is an 18 and over show. I'll be performing on the lower level. I really hope to see you all there!

December 30th, The Music Box will be performing at the Blue Note in Muskegon, MI. Also on this bill will be Bitter Design and Ryan Powers (from Chicago). This is also an 18 and over show and a cover charge will apply.

As far as other news goes, the CD will be out in a matter of weeks. There will be a CD release party so make sure that you keep checking back in for a date on that.

First off I want to apologize for the show cancellation this past Tuesday at Some Place Else in Muskegon, MI. They waited until the day prior to cancel it. I guess that this is the way some people work. Though I do feel bad about the show being canceled, I am not going to apologize for these people being complete assholes. This show may or may not be rescheduled. The idea is still up in the air.

The album is finished! Expect to see a CD release party real soon. Keep checking back with the show dates for that one. Also, keep checking back in on the merchandise page to get your copy of "Songs For The Hopeless." Thank you all so much for your support.

This Wednesday I will be playing at The Brick House in Grand Rapids, MI. The show starts at 9:00 PM and there is a $5.00 cover. The other acts on this bill are The Three Chord Statement, Mayfare, and Georgia Crawl. I hope to see my Grand Rapids friends out at this event!

This Saturday we will be playing at Racquet's which is located downtown Muskegon, MI. If you are in the area then come on out to the show!

It has been a while since a news update has been posted so I figured that it was about that time! I have to apologize to everyone but the Racquet's show for this Wednesday has been cancelled. Even though I won't be able to play that show some friends of mine in a band called Bitter Design will be playing. They're a great band and a good time. Stop in and check them out!

Wednesday, November 29th, I'll be performing at the Soho Grille located in the Omni Fitness Center on Norton in Muskegon, MI. Imagine that, a bar in a fitness center, ha! I will have a few guests with me that evening. Rebecca Christianson will be there to do some songs with me, and Andrea Naill from Grand Rapids will be opening up the show.

Sorry about the show cancellation, but I do hope to see everyone on the 29th at the Soho Grille.

Wednesday, October 25th, I will be playing solo at Racquet's located in Downtown Muskegon, MI. This is a really cool, fun happening sports bar and it would be fun to party with you all! The Music Box was originally supposed to be with me but there have been a few changes made. To catch the AE Music Box you'll have to come out to the November 5th show at the Montague High School Auditorium. The show at Racquet's starts at 8:00 PM. As you know we have been in the studio and the recording process has been going great. Lance has been doing a phenomenal job for us. You'll have a really good sounding CD. We've decided that rather than making an EP, this will be the first full Anthony Emin CD. There will be a total of seven songs on this album. You'll have to wait until the disc is released to know what those songs are. If you go to the myspace page there is a video of us working on one of the songs live in the studio. Make sure that you check that out and let us know what you think.

Thursday, October 12th, I will be playing at the Soho Grille. This will be a solo show, as the Music Box will not be performing. Although it is a solo gig I will be doing some songs with Rebecca Christianson who will be there to perform with me as well. I will also be debuting a brand new song that none of you have heard yet called "Seasons". This will be my first time playing there so I hope you all come out and show your support! It'll be a great time. The show will go from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. I'll be doing a two hour set. The Soho Grille is located at the Omni on Seaway in Muskegon, MI. This is an all ages event.

Recording, producing, and engineering this will be Lance Eischler at The East Town Recording Company in Grand Rapids, MI. This Tuesday, September 26th, we will be performing at Some Place Else on Apple Ave. in Muskegon, MI. This show starts at 8:00 PM. We have a special guest playing with us on this night as well. His name is Alex Hardie, he's a good friend of ours and great at what he does. I really hope you can make it out to this show, because Tuesday is my birthday and Wednesday Alex is moving to Hawaii, so it's kind of a birthday/going away party. We hope to see you there.

Tryouts for the bass position are over. I would like to welcome Matt DiRito to the team. The line up is now Matt Dirito on bass and Arnie Guthrie on drums. These are both two phenomenal musicians and I can't wait for you to hear what these guys can do as well as the songs performed as a full band.

This Thursday we will be playing at The Blue Note in Muskegon, MI. The line up for this show will be Columbus Sharp, Lucas D, and then us. To end the night I will be doing an acoustic set by myself as well. There will be a $3.00 cover at the door and the show starts at 9:00 PM. The Blue Note is located on the corner of Henry and Broadway in Muskegon, MI.

Saturday I will be playing solo opening up for Dutch Henry at The Rosebud in Grand Haven, MI. This should be a really kick ass show. It's always a crazy combination when you put me with those Dutch Henry guys. Something about playing shows with these guys that just makes me feel so alive. This show will start at 9:00 PM. The Rosebud is located on Washington St. in Grand Haven, MI.

I would like to welcome Birds North to the team as my latest sponsor. Mura's Bird's Music North is a music store located on Whitehall Rd. in Muskegon, MI. Thank you to everyone who came out to the Red Rooster on Saturday night to see us perform as we opened up the show for Dutch Henry. We had a really great time out there. Expect to see more Anthony Emin/Dutch Henry shows in the near future! This show was the first show that my band and I performed as a whole so hopefully you enjoyed this aspect and plan on coming out to see the boys and I more often.

There was another artist that I happened to perform with at The Red Rooster and this beautiful lady's name is Rebecca Christianson. I must say she has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard! There will be a song on the first Anthony Emin record titled "Broken Sparrow" Written and sung by Rebecca. We'll be doing more duets together for sure and those will always be posted under tour dates so be sure to keep checking those out.

September 21st, we will be at The Blue Note in Muskegon, MI. along with Lucas D. Lucas and I will be splitting the night doing two sets each. Doors for this event open at 9:00 P.M. and there will be a cover charge. The Blue Note is located on the corner of Henry and Broadway in Muskegon, MI.

September 23rd, I will be playing at The Rosebud in Grand Haven, MI. Opening for Dutch Henry. Doors for this event are at 9:00 P.M. A time with AE and Dutch Henry is always a good time.

For anyone interested,

We are still auditioning bass players. There will be an open invitation for some time yet. If you think this project might appeal to you then feel free to contact us to come in and try out.

Here are a few of the requirements:

1. Must be experienced and able to sing back up vocal parts.

2. Must be willing to travel for any extended period of time and to any distance.

3. Preferably between the ages of 18 and 25.

4. Must have a familiarity with the style of music being performed.

5. Make sure that you have the gear for the position.

6. If you're into drugs, I'm not interested in you. Do not waste our time or your own.

Some of my influences range from Matchbox 20, Jack Johnson, Dashboard Confessional, John Ralston, etc... To set up a rehearsal time contact me at anthonyemin@yahoo.com. Write parts to the songs that are currently on the website and be ready to perform them when you walk in the door.
